Shake-N-Sprout started on a small farm in Northwest Arkansas, where founder Mitch began growing microgreens and has been selling them throughout Arkansas and Missouri.
As the business grew, Mitch noticed something…
People weren’t just interested in buying fresh, locally grown food. Many of them wanted the ability to grow it themselves. Many tried without success.
That became the seed (no pun intended) for Shake-N-Sprout!
Meet Mitch
Mitch started Essential Microgreens with simple goal: to provide fresh, nutritious food for his local community.
As he began selling his microgreens throughout Northwest Arkansas and Southwest Missouri, he connected with people who cared about where their food came from. He also met many along the way with a shared a common interest: they wanted to grow fresh, healthy food right in their own homes.
Through his learning and growing experience, Mitch recognized two common challenges for the home growers. Handling and evenly distributing tiny seeds could be frustrating, and the overwhelming amount of conflicting growing “advice “ online, made growing way more daunting and complicated than it needs to be.
He saw an opportunity to change all that.
He combined the very same, finest-quality seeds he uses as a pro-grower with an easy-to-use, eco-friendly seed dispenser, and straight-forward, step-by-step instructional video (Grow Like A Pro),
Shake and Sprout was born.
The idea was simple: take the guesswork out of growing microgreens and give anyone the confidence and knowhow to grow fresh Microgreens successfully at home.
Our mission goes well beyond selling Microgreen seeds. It's about making growing your own nutritious food inside the comfort of your home fun, simple and gratifying.
